The Interactive Rocky Horror Show was to be
a platform game, somewhat similar to Maniac Mansion. It starred
Christopher Lee and Richard O'Brien - the writer of the original play and
the actor who played Riff Raff in the movie version (The Rocky Horror
Picture Show) and in the original Los Angeles music cast in 1974 (Roxy
cast).
The PC version was finally released in 1999 and was rated 'M' due to a
myriad of sexual references (it's all there incl. a tube of KY-Jelly). The
game play is OK but due to licensing issues with Fox many of the familiar
characters are missing. You control either Brad or Janet through the
castle and try to rescue the counterpart.
Various AEO issues have this one listed as
ETA for 1996. Screenshots and video below are from the PC preview version,
published by Atari. The video was originally encoded with the Cinepak
codec - the standard for the Jaguar. I think it's safe to assume that FMV
quality of the Jaguar version would have been similar. |
